Process

My process is designed to understand and bring your vision to life, with my own creative touches.

How it works: Wedding Illustrations

Please allow at least 8 weeks lead time for wedding illustrations. The final timeline will depend on your own deadlines, the number and complexity of assets needed, and my current queue of projects.

  • Inquire here to give me the broad strokes on what you’re looking for. I will confirm receipt of your inquiry within 2 business days with a pricing quote and next steps.

  • Let’s set up time to discuss what you’re looking for and make sure we’re a good fit to work together.

For me, this conversation helps determine the timeline and final cost of the project. For you, this is a great time to ask me any questions you have about the process or my work before we officially work together.

After this call, I will send a contract outlining the project scope, price, timeline and other details. The contract needs to be signed and a 50% non-refundable deposit paid via invoice in order to secure the timeline and for me to begin my work.

  • After the contract is signed and the deposit is paid, the project officially starts.

We’ll schedule a ~30 minute call to really dive in to your vision and story. Let’s take this time to go over your mood boards, any inspiration or ideas you have, specific details you’d like to include, your wedding aesthetic, and everything in between. I’d also love to know more about you as a couple to infuse those details into my work and really make it a reflection of your unique love story.

  • After our in-depth call, I will get started exploring 2-3 concepts for each asset that was requested.

These will not be completed designs, but rough drafts of designs that give you an idea of what the final detailed and polished illustrations will look like. At this stage, I want you to have a good sense of the color palette, how the illustrations will look, and how everything will be laid out with text.

Please allow at least 2 weeks for this stage for non-expedited projects. Specific dates to be shared in timeline.

  • We hop on a call where I present the concepts for each asset and get your initial feedback on the design directions. I will also send everything I have to you via email so you can take a deeper look and send written feedback.

Once I share the concepts, we will need to align on a single direction for each asset. Please give as much detailed feedback as possible so I can bring your vision to life—no detail is too small to call out!

If you have any vendors in mind at this point, please let me know or send me any relevant parameters or guidelines that I should follow for printing. This is also the time to send all final text that needs to be included.

  • After we align on the design direction for each asset and I get all of your feedback, I move into the fun part—creating all the final designs and illustrations for you! This will include digitally illustrating everything and laying all elements out as needed for print.

Please allow at least 4 weeks for this stage for non-expedited projects. Specific dates to be shared in timeline.

I can share the round 1 designs via email or on a call if preferred.

  • After I share round 1 designs, you will have some time to compile feedback for all assets. Please give as much detailed feedback as possible so I can make all the necessary adjustments, especially to the illustrated elements. Closely examine all details and consider how these assets will be experienced by your guests. If what I have shared so far sparks any last ideas, tell me now so I can incorporate them into your final round of revisions.

The amount of time needed to address these revisions will depend on what they are, but please allow at least 3 weeks for this stage for non-expedited projects. Specific dates to be shared in timeline.

  • After addressing all of your feedback, I will send the final designs for all assets to you for one last review. At this point, edits should be minimal, such as minor adjustments to text, spacing, or color only, not to the layout or illustrations. If a more comprehensive redesign or further illustration work is needed, this will incur an additional cost.

The amount of time needed to address these revisions will depend on what they are, but please allow at least 2 weeks for this stage for non-expedited projects. Specific dates to be shared in timeline.

  • Once I complete the final edits, I will get all assets ready for print. After receiving the outstanding balance for the completed project, I will share the final files with you.

Any out-of-scope changes that need to be made after this point may incur an additional charge per my contract.

How it works: Custom Illustrations

Please allow at least 6 weeks lead time for custom illustrations. The final timeline will depend on your own deadlines, the number and complexity of assets needed, and my current queue of projects.

  • Inquire here to give me the broad strokes on what you’re looking for—including the specific assets and any deadlines we need to hit. I will confirm receipt of your inquiry within 2 business days with a pricing quote and next steps.

  • If you want to move forward, I will email you with some follow up questions to understand what you’re looking for. Please share any mood boards, inspiration or ideas you have, specific details you’d like to include, and everything in between.

If we are all aligned in working together, I will send a contract for signature, timeline for all milestones we need to hit, and request half of the final cost as a deposit to get started on the preliminary sketch.

  • Based on what you’ve shared, I will get started on a preliminary sketch for you. This will be a rough draft to give you an idea of what the final detailed and polished illustrations will look like.

Please allow at least 2 weeks for this stage for non-expedited projects.

  • I will share the preliminary sketch with you for your feedback. Please give as much detailed feedback as possible so I can bring your vision to life—no detail is too small to call out!

  • After I get all of your feedback, I move into the fun part—creating all the final illustrations for you!

Please allow at least 3 weeks for this stage for non-expedited projects. Specific dates to be shared in timeline.

  • After I nearly complete the illustration, I will send the close-to-final illustration to you for one last review. At this point, edits should be minimal, such as minor adjustments to text, spacing, or color only, not to the layout or illustrations. If a more comprehensive redesign or further illustration work is needed, this will incur an additional cost.

The amount of time needed to address these revisions will depend on what they are, but please allow at least 1 week for this stage for non-expedited projects. Specific dates to be shared in timeline.

  • Once I complete the final edits, I will get all assets ready for print. After receiving the outstanding balance for the completed project, I will share the final files with you.
